Hi there!
I am an internationally published fine art landscape and nature photographer, born in San Francisco and a ninth-generation Bay Area native. For decades, I have explored and photographed the landscapes, parks, public lands, and natural beauty of North America, creating colorful and expressive imagery for collectors, publications, commercial projects, and interior spaces.
My love of photography began at an early age while working alongside my father in his darkroom. I also grew up with a strong connection to architecture and design through my father, who served as Principal City Architect of San Francisco for many years. Time spent exploring places such as Yosemite deepened my love of wilderness and landscape photography, and I later studied photography and art at San Jose State University.
My work is inspired by a lifelong connection to nature and a desire to capture landscapes in a way that feels both colorful and comforting. I am especially drawn to scenes that convey beauty, atmosphere, and a strong sense of place. Much of my photography is created while traveling throughout the United States and Canada, often exploring parks, public lands, coastlines, and scenic regions from my van with my two adventurous dogs.
My photographs have been published by National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer Magazine, Landscape Photography Magazine, Digital Photo Pro Magazine, Sunset Magazine, California State Parks Foundation, Yosemite Journal, and others. My work has also been featured in television advertising, books, puzzles, brochures, calendars, and other commercial projects.
I frequently work with interior designers, art consultants, and commercial clients. My photography has been selected for homes, golf courses, restaurants, medical and business offices, apartments, hospitals, and other interior environments, including large-scale photographic installations.
